Back in 2003 I went on a fantastic holiday too Iceland, where one of the many fantastic days out I went and stepped onto the Vatnajokull ice-cap. I have had a lifelong fascination with the Polar regions, and I saw this as an excellent place to fore-fill a dream of mine to have a proper expedition.
Over the next couple of years, I built up my equipment and skills base until I felt confident enough for the said expedition, what happened next, well...................
